NHL: Philadelphia Flyers Claims Victory Over Chicago Blackhawks


In the National Hockey League, the Philadelphia Flyers used a home-ice advantage to get their third win in 11 games Monday - a 3-0 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks.

Philadelphia's Peter Forsberg scored twice and Robert Esche recorded his 10th career shutout, blocking 26 shots in his first win of the season. Chicago has now dropped five straight, after winning three of four.

In Toronto, Darcy Tucker scored two power-play goals to help lead the Maple Leafs to a 4-2 victory over Atlanta. The Thrashers have not beaten Toronto in three years.

The Anaheim Ducks' Teemu Selanne and Ryan Getzlaf each scored in a shootout to give Anaheim a 6-5 win over the Blues in St. Louis.

The Washington Capitals defeated the Flames 4-2 in Calgary. Richard Zednik and Dainius Zubrus each scored twice for Washington.

In Los Angeles, the Kings snapped a five-game losing streak with a 4-1 win over the New York Rangers.
