NHL:Penguins Beat Philadelphia Flyers 5-3


Pittsburgh's leading scorer Sidney Crosby had a goal and an assist to help the Penguins beat the Philadelphia Flyers 5-3 in National Hockey League play Monday.

Crosby also had an assist in the game before developing a sore groin and sitting out the third quarter as a precaution. The victory was the Penguin's fourth against Philadelphia this season.

In other NHL matches Monday, the Florida Panthers beat the Boston Bruins 3-2, the Buffalo Sabres beat the Tampa Bay Lighting 7-2 and the Columbus Blue Jackets lost to the Nashville Predators 1-3.

In other games, the Toronto Maple Leafs beat the New York Islanders 4-2, the Minnesota Wild lost to the Ottawa Senators 3-5 and the Dallas Stars beat the Colorado Avalanche 5-4.
