NBA: Jazz Beats Raptors, Clinch Best Start in Franchise History

Utah beat the Toronto Raptors 101-96 Monday to give the Jazz their best start in franchise history.

Utah's Carlos Boozer scored a season-high 35 points to bring the team to 10-1 for the season so far. The game gave coach Jerry Sloan his 900th win with the Jazz. The Raptors came within two points of Utah but could not close the gap.

In other National Basketball Association games Monday, the Dallas Mavericks beat the Charlotte Bobcats 93-85, the Orlando Magic lost to the Memphis Grizzlies 86-95, and the San Antonio Spurs beat the Portland Trail Blazers 107-98.

And the Phoenix Suns beat the Golden State Warriors 113-110 while the Houston Rockets beat the New York Knicks 97-90 and the New Jersey Nets lost to the Seattle Supersonics 87-99.
