NBA: Warriors End Jazz Winning Streak


The leading team in the National Basketball Association - the Utah Jazz - saw their winning streak halted at eight games Saturday, falling 91-78 to the Golden State Warriors.

Troy Murphy had 15 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Warriors, who snapped a three-game skid. The loss drops Utah's NBA-best record to 12-2, with both losses on the road.

Six Cleveland players scored in double digits as the Cavaliers beat the Philadelphia 76ers 108-95. LeBron James had 25 points and 11 assists to lead the Cavaliers at home. Sixers star Allan Iverson's 31 points were not enough to spark his team to victory.

Dallas extended its winning streak to nine games with an 85-73 win over the New Orleans Hornets. Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavericks with 28 points and nine boards.

The defending champion Miami Heat got 35 points from Dwayne Wade to defeat the Charlotte Bobcats 102-93, and snap a three-game losing streak.

The Detroit Pistons edged the Washington Wizards 115-111. The Orlando Magic thumped the Atlanta Hawks 98-79. The Chicago Bulls defeated the New York Knicks 106-95.

The Minnesota Timberwolves downed the Los Angeles Clippers 104-96. The Houston Rockets beat the Memphis Grizzlies 85-76. The Boston Celtics knocked off the Milwaukee Bucks 111-98, and the Sacramento Kings routed the Portland Trail Blazers 105-85.
