US Immigration Officials Arrest Bosnian Serbs Suspected of War Crimes

U.S. immigration officials have arrested 19 Bosnian Serbs on suspicion of hiding their roles in the Srebrenica massacre when entering the United States.

Officials say this week's arrests follow raids in several U.S. cities, including Tampa and Orlando in Florida, as well as in Detroit and Chicago.

Serb forces killed about 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys after capturing Srebrenica, a town in eastern Bosnia-Herzegovina which the United Nations had declared a Muslim safe haven.

The Srebrenica massacre is considered the worst atrocity in Europe since World War II.
