Pakistani officials say an explosion near a Shi'ite mosque in Peshawar has killed at least 11 people.
They say the dead include several police officers, including a senior police official. Authorities say the blast went off when police were clearing the way for a Shi'ite procession through a crowded part of the northwestern city Saturday.
About 30 other people were wounded in the explosion.
On Friday, a suicide bombing outside a luxury hotel in Islamabad killed a security guard and wounded seven people. Authorities believe Islamic militants were behind that attack.
