NBA: Trail Blazers edge Grizzlies in 2 OTs


The Portland Trail Blazers needed double overtime to edge the Memphis Grizzlies 135-132 Saturday in National Basketball Association play.

The Blazers rallied from a 16-point deficit in the second half, then played through two five-minute extra periods before beating the host Grizzlies.

Portland's Zach Randolph led with a career-high 42 points and 12 rebounds, including a three-point shot with 38 seconds to go that sealed the Trail Blazers' third victory in four games.

The Dallas Mavericks rallied in the fourth quarter to top the Sacramento Kings 106-104. Dirk Nowitzki led the host Mavs with 32 points and 11 rebounds. Dallas has the second-best record in the NBA (36-9), and it has won 22 of its last 24 games.

The Chicago Bulls got their third straight victory, getting by the defending champion Miami Heat, 100-97. Ben Gordon led the Bulls at home with 34 points and seven assists.

The New Orleans Hornets took advantage of Utah's injuries to beat the Jazz 94-83. The Indiana Pacers stretched a winning streak to three games with a 102-84 rout of the Toronto Raptors. The Philadelphia 76ers never trailed in a 104-89 defeat of the Atlanta Hawks. The New Jersey Nets got 40 points from star Vince Carter to beat the Denver Nuggets 112-102. The Minnesota Timberwolves snapped a six-game skid with a 101-87 win over the Los Angeles Clippers, and the Golden State Warriors trounced the Charlotte Bobcats 131-105.
