NBA: Bobcats Beat Wizards, Arenas Injures Knee

The Charlotte Bobcats beat the Washington Wizards 108-100 Wednesday in National Basketball Association action.

Charlotte's Gerald Wallace scored 27 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out eight assists to lead the Bobcats to its second straight win over the Wizards. The game literally added injury to insult for Washington, as All-Star guard Gilbert Arenas suffered a knee sprain in a collision with Wallace. He will undergo tests Thursday, to determine the extent of the injury.

The Wizards are already playing without forward Caron Butler, who will miss the remaining regular season games with a broken hand.

Wednesday's other NBA winners include New Jersey, Toronto, Chicago, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, New Orleans, Golden State, Portland, Denver and the Los Angeles Clippers.

The New Jersey Nets downed the Atlanta Hawks 101-86. Toronto's Chris Bosh scored 28 points to lead the Raptors to a 111-108 win over the Orlando Magic. The Chicago Bulls enjoyed a 106-88 rout over the Detroit Pistons.

Andre Iguodala scored 18 points to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 92-90 victory over the New York Giants. The Milwaukee Bucks edged the Boston Celtics 98-89.

The New Orleans Hornets defeated the Seattle SuperSonics 101-92 in overtime.

Golden State's Jason Richardson scored 27 points, including seven three-point shots, to lead the Warriors to a 110-99 win over the Houston Rockets. The Portland Trail Blazers beat the Utah Jazz 94-89. Denver's Carmelo Anthony scored 31 points as the Nuggets downed the Sacramento Kings 120-115. And the Los Angeles Clippers defeated their in-town rival Los Angeles Lakers 90-82.
