Justine Henin Captures 35th Tennis Title of Her Career

update

World number one Justine Henin of Belgium has captured the 35th tennis title of her career and sixth this year by winning the Rogers Cup tournament in Toronto, Canada.

The top-seeded Henin, who was playing in her first event since losing in the Wimbledon semifinals, scored a hard-fought 7-6, 7-5, victory over second-seeded Jelena Jankovic of Serbia.

Henin needed six match points, including five in the final game before overcoming the world number-three Jankovic. The 25-year-old Belgian was down a service break in both sets but rallied to deny the Serbian player her fifth title of the year.

Henin now has a 7-0 career record against Jankovic and improved her record to 43-4 this season.
