Russian media report that an attack on a police convoy in Chechnya has killed at least three soldiers and one policeman.
The reports say a convoy of Russian Interior Troops and officers was attacked Sunday while it was traveling through the province's southern Vedeno district, between the villages of Dargo and Vedeno.
At least 10 people were wounded in the ambush.
The policemen who were killed were among reinforcements sent to the area after clashes with rebels on Saturday, during which one rebel gunman was killed.
Russian government forces have been battling separatists in Chechnya for more than a decade.
