The German women's soccer team has finished at the top of the FIFA world rankings for the fifth year in a row.
While the United States held first place for much of the year, Germany took over the top spot after winning the Women's World Cup in September in China.
The U.S. women finish the year ranked No. 2. Their only loss in 2007 was to Brazil in the World Cup semifinals. Brazil finishes the year ranked fourth, only four points behind No. 3 Sweden (2086 to 2082).
Norway, which finished last year in the third position, is fifth. Rounding out the top 10 are North Korea, France, Denmark, Canada and England. It is England's first-ever appearance in the top 10.
