Grange Wins Second WC Ski Race in Wengen


Frenchman Jean-Baptiste Grange has won his second World Cup Alpine ski race in two days by taking a men's slalom in Wengen, Switzerland.

Grange, who won a Super-combined event Friday, finished the Lauberhorn course in a combined time of 1:34.81, 0.80 seconds ahead of Jens Byggmark of Sweden. American Ted Ligety was third, 0.89 seconds behind the Frenchman.

Andre Myhrer of Sweden was fourth. Bode Miller of the United States finished fifth, nearly 1.5 seconds behind the winner.

Benjamin Raich of Austria remains atop the overall World Cup standings with 690 points. Daniel Albrecht of Switzerland is second (562) with compatriot Didier Cuche third (525).
