U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will visit several European countries next week.
The State Department said Monday that Rice will visit Britain, Belgium, Italy, Finland, and Denmark during the six-day trip that starts on Sunday.
A State Department spokesman, Sean McCormack, said Rice will meet with British Foreign Secretary David Miliband in London. She will then travel to Brussels to participate in an annual meeting of NATO foreign ministers on December 2 and 3.
After the NATO ministerial meeting, she is scheduled to travel to Rome for talks with Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and Foreign Minister Franco Frattini.
On December 4, Rice is to be in Helsinki for a ministerial meeting of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
Her final stop is Copenhagen, where she is scheduled to meet with Danish Prime Minister Anders Rasmussen and Foreign Minister Per Stig Moller.
