NFL:  Tennessee Crushes Winless Detroit 47-10


In the National Football League, the Tennessee Titans spoiled Thanksgiving for the Detroit Lions fans by beating the Lions, 47-10.

The Titans' victory took them to a record of 11 wins and one loss with four games left in the regular season. Tennessee quarterback Kerry Collins completed 11 of 18 passes for 127 yards. Chris Johnson scored two touchdowns, including a 58-yard run in the first quarter.

Detroit looked overmatched, with kicker Jason Hanson's 53-yard field goal the Lions' only score until Michael Gaines ran in from two yards with 34 seconds left in the first half. Detroit quarterback Daunte Culpepper completed 13 of 26 passes for 134 yards and one touchdown.

Tennessee kicker Rob Bironas accounted for all the second half points on four field goals. The Lions scored no points in the second half. Detroit has lost all 12 of its games this season.

Two other games are on the schedule Thursday - the Dallas Cowboys play the Seattle Seahawks, and the Philadelphia Eagles face the Arizona Cardinals.
