Memorial services are being held at the Pentagon in honor of the victims of Tuesday's terrorist attack on the headquarters of the U.S. Defense Department.
Many stood with tears in their eyes as the first of a series of memorial services concluded with the singing of "God Bless America."
The Pentagon says about 190 people died in Tuesday's terrorist attack when a hijacked airliner slammed into one side of the five-sided building. Officials say the death toll, which includes passengers on the ill-fated plane as well as Pentagon workers, could still climb.
Efforts to recover the bodies are continuing.
