Fourth ranked Nebraska remains undefeated after routing unranked Rice University 48-3 in U.S. college football action Thursday.
Nebraska quarterback Eric Crouch threw three touchdown passes and ran for two more to lead the Cornhuskers to a home field victory. Rice avoided the shut out with a field goal in the last eight minutes of the game. Nebraska is undefeated in four games this season.
In a battle between two other top-20 teams, South Carolina beat host Mississippi State 16-14. The victorious Gamecocks were led by backup quarterback Corey Jenkins with 75 yards rushing.
