Maine Residents Honor 1963 B-52 Crash Victims - 2001-12-31

On a winter day nearly 40 years ago, a B-52 bomber on a routine training mission slammed into a mountain near Greenville, Maine, killing seven crewmen. The site of the crash is remote, and over the years only hikers and snow mobilers have been able to reach it. But now a group of local residents is building a path to the wreckage. They want to make the site more accessible, without turning it into a macabre tourist attraction.
