Germany has the most medals overall, with 33. Germany has 10 gold, 16 silver and seven bronze.
The United States has 10 gold medals, 11 silver and nine bronze, for a total of 30. The U.S. Olympic Committee's original target of 20 medals today had been considered optimistic, since the previous best U.S. total was 13.
