Sweden's Magdalena Forsberg has won a women's 10-kilometer biathlon pursuit event in Holmenkollen, Norway and clinched the World Cup pursuit title.
Forsberg, this year's World Cup overall champion, missed only one target on her way to beating Germany's Katrin Apel by more than 46 seconds. Apel had five misses in the shooting portion. Germany's Uschi Disl edged Norway's Live Grete Poiree by .3 to finish third.
Forsberg finished atop the final pursuit standings with 376 points. Poiree was second overall with 338 and Disl was third (277).
In the men's 12.5 kilometer pursuit event, France's Raphael Poiree came another step closer to his third straight title by finishing third behind the winner Sven Fischer of Germany.
Frode Andresen of Norway finished second, more than 42 seconds behind the German. Poiree lead's Russian skier Pavel Rostovtsev by 38 points ahead of Sunday's final race of the season, a 12.5 kilometer mass start event.
