Michael Leland has been with VOA since 1992, and became our Chicago correspondent in 1996. He has served as host of VOA's Report to the Caribbean and has worked as a newscaster as well.
Michael, who is a native of Worcester, Massachusetts, received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Curry College, and a Masters Degree in Journalism from Kansas State University.
He loves bicycling through Chicago neighborhoods, and rural parts of the Midwest, and enjoys ice skating and cross-country skiing during Chicago's long, cold winters.
