President Bush Thanks WTC Recovery Crews

As New York City marked the end of recovery efforts at the site of the World Trade Center, President Bush thanked those who have worked so long at the site of the terrorist attacks.

The president's cabinet meeting Thursday began with a prayer for those killed in the World Trade Center attacks. Speaking to reporters after the meeting, President Bush expressed his gratitude to those who have worked to clear the wreckage.

"On behalf of a grateful nation, I want to thank all those who participated in the clean-up of that deadly site and want our nation to continue to offer our prayer to those families and friends and citizens who still hurt as a result of the attacks of September the 11," he said.

President Bush says there is still a lot of work to be done as the nation is in for a long war against those responsible for the attacks. Mr. Bush says there may be times when terrorists feel the United States is not pursuing them, but he says U.S. forces will hunt them down one by one.
