Dateline: Changes in US Visa Procedures Could Adversely Affect International Education - 2002-10-04


For over 50 years, students and scholars from around the globe have been flocking to U.S. colleges and universities. And for decades, the United States Government has actively promoted and often financed international scholarship and exchange programs. These are considered critical components of U.S. foreign policy.

But as Carol Castiel reports in this edition of Dateline, changes in visa procedures as a result of the September 11 terrorist attacks may adversely affect international education, and perhaps, U.S. foreign policy.
