World number one women's golfer Annika Sorenstam of Sweden and American Cristie Kerr are tied for the lead after the third round of the Samsung World Championships of Golf in Vallejo, California.
Sorenstam made up a two-stroke deficit on the final hole to catch Kerr at 15-under-par, 201 for three rounds. The Swedish golfer ended with a 4-under-par, 68 on the Hiddenbrooke Golf Club Course.
Kerr fired a 3-under-par, 69 in her third round and is also at 201 for three rounds. American Rosie Jones is alone in third place at 12-under-par, 204. Jones shot a 2-under-par, 70 in her second round.
South Korea's Se Ri Pak triple bogeyed the the par-three 17th hole and ended the day with a 5-under-par, 67. She is tied with first round leader Michele Redman, who had a 2-under-par, 70 in her third round.
The event features the top 17 players on the LPGA money list and the leading money winners from Europe, Korea and Japan. The first prize is $162,000.
