In Burundi, an ethnic Hutu rebel group says it has abducted four members of President Domitien Ndayizeye's party.
The Forces for the Defense of Democracy (FDD) says it captured the legislators in eastern Ruyigi province.
Reuters news agency quotes a spokesman for the president's Burundi Democratic Front as demanding their release.
The FDD signed a ceasefire with the transitional government in December, but both sides have accused each other of violating the agreement and fighting has continued throughout the country.
