Former Olympic Champ Moses to Make Comeback - 2003-08-31

Two-time Olympic champion Edwin Moses says he's making a comeback to the 400-meter hurdles.

Moses says he wants to qualify for next year's U.S. Olympic trials. He made his announcement on his 48th birthday, which is also the 20th anniversary of his last world record. 15 years have passed since his last race, the 1988 Olympic final in Seoul, where Moses won the bronze medal. He went unbeaten in 122 races over nine years.

Moses calls it a "limited comeback," and he expressed no illusions of returning to world-class form. He says he wants to be a world record holder in the 46-50 age group and be one of the most physically fit people his age on the planet.
