NBA Basketball: Cleveland Cavaliers in 95-87 Win over Chicago Bulls - 2003-12-21

One of the National Basketball Association's star rookies, LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers, had 32 points and 10 assists Saturday to power his team to a 95-87 win over the Chicago Bulls.

With former Bulls great Michael Jordan watching from the sky box, James led the Cavs with his third "double-double" of the season. He also had six rebounds.

In Dallas, the Mavericks fell to the Los Angeles Clippers, 115-105. LA's Elton Brand's 22 points and 20 rebounds helped the Clippers beat the Mavs for only the fourth time in 22 meetings. Dallas' second loss at home this year also was its third straight defeat - the team's longest skid of the season.

In Minnesota, big man Kevin Garnett scored 28 points to lead the Timberwolves to their fifth straight win - a 102-80 thumping of the Indiana Pacers.

Seattle's Richie Frahm hit six three-point shots and scored a career-high 31 points as the SuperSonics defeated the Nuggets in Denver, 115-106.

In other NBA games, the New York Knicks beat the Atlanta Hawks 103-92, the New Orleans Hornets snapped a three-game skid at the expense of the Memphis Grizzlies 94-89, and the Milwaukee Bucks beat the New Jersey Nets 92-87.

The Phoenix Suns rolled over the Houston Rockets 102-87, and the defending champion San Antonio Spurs cruised to a 101-91 win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
