College Football: Boise State Edges TCU at Fort Worth Bowl - 2003-12-24


Ryan Dinwiddle threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Derek Schouman in the fourth quarter to give Boise State University a 34-31 win over Texas Christian University Tuesday in U.S. college football's Fort Worth Bowl in Fort Worth, Texas.

TCU took a 21-7 lead early in the second quarter, but Boise State came back on touchdowns by Jeff Carpenter and David Mikell. The two teams traded field goals to end the first half in a 24-24 tie.

Boise State took the lead in the third quarter on a Tyler Jones field goal, but TCU regained the lead on a seven-yard touchdown run by Lonta Hobbs.

Dinwiddle threw for 323 yards and three touchdowns for Boise State, while TJ Acree caught eight passes for 147 yards. Brandon Hassell passed for one touchdown and ran for another to lead Texas Christian.

Boise State ends its season with 13 wins and only one defeat, while Texas Christian falls to 11-2.
