Britain's defense ministry says it has opened a probe into the death of an Iraqi prisoner of war, who passed away while in the custody of British forces.
A defense ministry spokesperson confirmed that an Iraqi prisoner of war died, but did not give a cause of death or when he passed away. She said the investigation is ongoing.
She also denied a report in Britain's Sun newspaper which claimed a British soldier would be charged with manslaughter in the prisoner's death.
