Russia's Yelena Isinbayeva has set a new indoor pole vault world record, clearing a height of 4.83 meters at the Pole Stars meet in Donetsk, Ukraine.
Isinbayeva set the record Sunday, vaulting three centimeters higher than the old mark set by her countrywoman Svetlana Feofanova one year ago at the World Championships in Birmingham, England.
The result is also one centimeter above Isinbayeva's own outdoor world record mark of 4.82, which she set in July 2003.
