Rocket Attacks Target  2 Baghdad Hotels - 2004-07-02

Rockets hit two Baghdad hotels Friday, causing minor damage. No major injuries were reported.

Iraqi authorities say the missiles were fired from the back of a van and hit the Sheraton and Baghdad hotels in central Baghdad.

The attacks came one day after former President Saddam Hussein's court appearance on charges related to his brutal 24-year rule.

Elsewhere, a U.S. Marine was killed in security operations in western Iraq.

Meanwhile, Polish officials say artillery shells Polish troops found in Iraq last month contained a deadly nerve agent. They say they date back to Saddam's war with Iran in the 1980's.

Relatives of a Pakistani hostage say he has been released in Iraq, and Turkey says Iraqi insurgents have freed two Turkish hostages after their employer agreed to stop working for U.S. forces in Iraq.
