update

Australia's cricket team has played Indian Ranji Trophy winner Mumbai to a draw in a three-day match held in Mumbai, a key warm-up for Australia's test series against India.

Justin Langer scored 108 runs in Australia's second innings as the tourists managed 207-2 on the final day of the match. The second innings score was in response to Mumbai's first innings of 255 all out. Glenn McGrath took four Mumbai wickets while allowing only 25 runs.

Australia scored 302-7 declared in its first innings.

The first test match of the five-match series begins Wednesday in Bangalore. Australia will be without captain Ricky Ponting, who will miss the first two tests of the series because of a broken thumb.
