Argentines Mark Anniversary of Nightclub Fire

Argentines gathered in Buenos Aires Friday, on the first anniversary of one of the nation's worst fires, to memorialize the dead and call for justice.

At least 194 people died in the blaze at the Cromagnon Republic club, which was hosting a rock concert. Investigators say the blaze started when someone fired a flare into the ceiling. Clubgoers were trapped inside after discovering many of the fire exits fastened shut.

The protesters said they were seeking punishment for those responsible for the disaster.

Suspended Buenos Aires Mayor Anibal Ibarra is facing an impeachment trial on charges related to the city's failure to enforce safety codes. The club's owner and a number of others are facing murder-related charges.
