An Armenian Airlines jet carrying about 100 passengers and crew has crashed into the Black Sea near the Russian resort of Sochi.
The Russian emergencies ministry says debris can be seen floating on the surface of the water. The Interfax News Agency says the body of a woman has been recovered, but officials made no mention of survivors.
The plane was an Airbus A320 and took off from the Armenian capital of Yerevan. The ministry says the jet disappeared from radar not far from the Sochi airport.
Rescuers say harsh weather is hampering their efforts.
