Chinese President Speaks to Astronauts

update

Chinese President Hu Jintao has spoken with two astronauts aboard China's Shenzhou 6 spacecraft, on the fourth day of the spacecraft's mission.

China's official Xinhua news agency said Mr. Hu extended congratulations and warm greetings to the astronauts Saturday from the Beijing Aerospace Command and Control Center.

Friday, Xinhua said the astronauts Fei Junlong and Nie Haishen corrected a problem with the orbit of the spacecraft. The operation included putting the vessel back onto its original orbiting path after it had deviated from that path.

The mission has been widely covered in Chinese media, unlike the country's first manned space flight two years ago, which was shrouded in secrecy.

There was still no official word on when Shenzhou 6 is expected to land.
