King Tut's Death to Be Investigated

update

What killed the world's most famous mummy? Egyptian experts intend to solve the centuries old mystery.

Reuters news agency says specialists plan to run tests on the remains of Tutankhamen, the boy king who ruled Egypt more than 3,000 years ago.

King Tut's mummy will be moved from its tomb in the southern city of Luxor to the Cairo Museum, where experts will perform examinations, including a DNA test.

Tutankhamen died mysteriously at the age of 19. Because he did not have an heir, there is suspicion that he was murdered in an attempt to take control of the throne.

British archaeologist Howard Carter discovered King Tut's remains in 1922, along with fabulous treasures, including the famous golden mask that covered the mummy's head.
