As the coach directs his team in the U.S. National Football League's championship game, his wife and daughter will be on a mission to the Democratic Republic of Congo to help train health care providers.
Mike and his wife, Kathy, say they did not give the Super Bowl much thought when she signed up for the trip last year.
Kathy is a nurse and the Holmgren's daughter, Calla, is a doctor. They are traveling to a remote part of Congo and it is not clear when they will learn who won the football game.
The couple say Kathy gets nervous watching the games anyway.
