Africa Cup of Nations - Day 1

Host country Cameroon beat Burkina Faso 2-1 on Jan. 9 in the opening game of this year’s Africa Cup of Nations. Cape Verde defeated Ethiopia 1-0 in the day's other match. An opening ceremony in Yaounde was marked by flashes of color.
