Napa Valley, in the western U.S. state of California, may be famous for its grapes, which are used to make wine, but now it has a new star.
The top three winners in the 40th annual World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off, held on Monday in Half Moon Bay, California, are from Napa.
The winning pumpkin topped the scales at 900 kilograms, or 1,985 pounds.
However, it was smaller than the 920-kilogram pumpkin that set the world record earlier this month at a smaller competition in Morgan Hill, California. That pumpkin was also grown in Napa Valley.
