Biden Pledges Free Masks, More Home Tests, Amid Omicron Variant Surge

U.S. President Joe Biden says he’s ramping up the fight against the pandemic, domestically distributing free face masks and a total of a billion home test kits amid the onslaught of the highly infectious omicron variant. But health equity groups say flooding one country with tools won’t fix this global pandemic and that the rest of the world needs help, too.
