Brothers 14 and 11 Graduate College, High School

A Texas teen graduated from Texas Christian University (TCU) on May 13 with a bachelor’s degree in physics and minors in math and Chinese.

Impressive, but not that unusual.

But Carson Huey-You is 14.

His younger brother, Canaan, 11, is set to start classes at TCU in the fall where he will major in astrophysics and engineering.

Carson was admitted to TCU at the age of 10 after whizzing through high school level courses. His mother, Claretta Kimp, said he has always had a knack for numbers.

In an interview with local television, Carson said he knew from an early age that he wanted to study physics.

“I knew I wanted to do physics when I was in high school, but then quantum physics was the one that stood out to me, because it was abstract,” he said in an interview with NBC.

Carson says he also plans on getting a graduate degree in the field.

Carson says that among his favorite thing about college has been getting to learn things he never thought about, things he never knew existed and things he might not even think about thinking about, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

He also says he's learned to deal with challenging classes and getting over the disappointment of a poor test score.

In addition to their heavy academic loads, their mother says Carson and Canaan are very close and enjoy playing games and reading fantasy books. Like normal kids.
