Bus Crash in Northern China Kills 26

FILE - Chinese firefighters wear masks as they wait in their truck in northeastern China's Tianjin municipality, Aug. 15, 2015.

Officials in China say a bus has plunged into a canal, killing 26 of the 30 people onboard.

Authorities say a tire blew out, causing the driver of the sleeper coach to lose control and crash through a guardrail, plunging into a water-filled canal.

The accident occurred late Friday near the northern port city of Tianjin.
