The world's best tango dancers have converged on Argentina's capital, Buenos Aires.
The first of more than 2,000 performers began showcasing their skills Wednesday night at the Buenos Aires Tango Festival and World Championships.
The 14-day festival also features classes and workshops for beginning students of the sensual dance.
The top tango dancers will be take home the winners' crown following the finals on August 26 and 27.
