A Florida woman's self-written obituary is getting rave reviews, bringing more than 3,000 Facebook "likes.''

The 1,045-word obit written by 69-year-old Emily Phillips appeared in the Florida Times-Union and was quickly picked up across social media.

Daughter Bonnie Upright says her mother died March 25 of pancreatic cancer. After being diagnosed in February, she told her family she wanted to write her own obit. Upright says it was the "epitome'' of her mother, who loved to write.

Phillips described herself as a "loving wife, comforting mother, dedicated teacher, true and loyal friend and a spoiling grandmother.''

She urged loved ones to see her in the sunsets or among spring daffodils. Telling the story of her life, she noted "I was born; I blinked; and it was over."
