The United Nations says the economies of Latin America and the Caribbean will pick up pace in 2014.
The U.N. regional economic body based in Chile said Wednesday Latin America's economy is expected to grow by 3.2 percent. The new estimate is an improved global outlook that will help increase demand for exports.
The forecast for Latin America's economy in 2013 is for 2.6 percent growth.
Mexico is set for 3.5 percent growth in 2014, well above the 1.3 percent seen for 2013, and Brazil is seen growing at 2.6 percent versus 2.4 percent this year.
