A male leopard wandered into a school in South India and injured at least four people before being captured by wildlife officials.

Video showed the animal walking through the halls of the school located in the Kundalahalli area of India's southern Karnataka state early Sunday.

Footage shows the large cat attacking and injuring a man as he tried to get away.

After several hours wildlife officials were able to tranquilize the leopard.

The French News agency says the leopard was taken to Bangalore's Bannerghatta zoo for observation, and was later released into the forest.
