A judge in Oregon has set bail at $2 million for a teenager who allegedly threatened a massacre at his high school.
Seventeen-year-old Grant Acord appeared in a courtroom via closed circuit television from a juvenile detention center. He said little and did not enter a plea.
Acord is charged with attempted murder and possessing a destructive device.
Prosecutors accuse him of hiding bombs in his bedroom along with detailed plans of his high school. They say he was plotting a massacre patterned after the 1999 massacre at Columbine High School in Colorado.
Two students gunned down 12 students and teachers at Columbine before killing themselves.
