Saudi Arabia is calling for supporters of Syrian opposition fighters to provide more weapons to aid in the rebel effort to oust President Bashar al-Assad.
Saudi Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz made the comments Tuesday as Arab League countries met for a summit in Kuwait.
Arab leaders are expected to use the meeting to pledge more support to Syria's neighbors, who have taken in millions of Syrian refugees since the crisis began in March 2011.
U.N.-Arab League envoy Lakhdar Brahimi is expected to address the summit a day after saying peace talks meant to find an end to the fighting in Syria will not continue anytime soon. He said Monday the conditions for a new round have not been met.
