A series of insurgent attacks across Iraq has killed at least 70 people and injured scores more.
No one has claims responsibility for Monday's attacks, which included car bombs, suicide attacks and gun battles.
The deadliest violence struck the northern city of Mosul, where four car bombs targeted security forces, killing 29 people and wounding 80.
Earlier in the day, car bombings hit two markets in central Iraq, killing at least 22 civilians and wounding 30 others.
Police said several car bombs exploded virtually simultaneously, tearing through a vegetable and fruit market in the town of Jadidat al-Shatt in Diyala province.
Insurgents also attacked the towns of Tuz Khormatu and Sulaiman Bek near Kirkuk province.
In Madain town south of Baghdad, two bombs targeted a federal police checkpoint, killing three and injured 10, while in the Sadr neighborhood in northern Baghdad a bomb exploded at a cafe, killing one and injuring eight.
