Thanksgiving: a truly American holiday
Thanksgiving is a federal holiday in the United States, celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. There are three main elements to the holiday; 1) A parade in New York City, 2) Professional football games, and 3) a giant feast featuring a uniquely American bird – Turkey. We talked with historian Raffi Andonian about how it all began.
