Three Dead, Five Wounded in St. Louis Factory Shooting

Police in St. Louis, Missouri are looking for a gunman who shot and killed three people and wounded five others at an electric products factory.

Police say the suspect identified as 51-year-old Timothy Hendron entered the offices of ABB Power company in St. Louis early Thursday and opened fire using an assault rifle and a handgun.

Several hours later, police continued searching for the suspect and any other victims in the large factory complex. They could not confirm reports by local media that the shooter was among the dead or injured.

Officials say some employees fled to the roof of the building in freezing temperatures to escape the suspect.

Police say Hendron is a former employee of the company. Court documents in Kansas City, Missouri reveal Hendron was among a group of employees who had sued the company for its handling of their retirement accounts.

Some information for this report was provided by AP, AFP.
